Starting from the shores of the Arabian Sea all the way to the highest peaks of the Karakoram Mountains, Pakistan is one of the most picturesque and beautiful countries of the world. Home to the one of the World's earliest civilization- the Indus valley civilization, Pakistan is also rich in history and culture. Its Beautiful old Mughal mosques and forts as well as its colonial monuments are a living proof of its rich and diverse past and are a treat for every visitor. The busy cities of Lahore, Karachi, and Peshawar, are full of fascinating sights, bustling old city bazaars and delectable eateries and are a delight for every tourist. In contrast to the rich past represented by old cities are modern cities like the capital of the country- Islamabad.
With a God gifted landscape, Pakistan presents extreme sports enthusiasts
excellent opportunities for free flying. The country is a home to the
Karakoram, Himalayan, Hindukush and Pamir mountain ranges where
mountain peaks such as the K2 and Nanga Parbat reach the
heights of 8,611 and 8,126 meters. The smaller
mountain ranges also offer excellent conditions
for paragliding.
GCoP which uses the Salt
Range as its training ground and
is continuously discovering and
developing new sites for paragliding
within this area.
Currently our club members can fly from
5 different sites located in the
salt range which have heights
ranging from 50 feet
(beginner slopes) to 1900 feet.
In addition to these sites GCoP arranges tours and expeditions
for interested individuals to other places.
